Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Photographer Editor to join our team at Hearst Television. As a key member of our news operations, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content and editing it for broadcast and online platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visual Storytelling: Shoot and edit video packages, VO-SOTs, and teases for broadcast and online use.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with assignment desk, reporters, and producers to cover daily stories and produce high-quality content.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and operate professional camera equipment, ENG trucks, and other digital tools.
  • Content Distribution: Edit and publish content to our online platforms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Organization and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 1-5 years of experience in video photojournalism, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, ENG trucks, and other digital editing tools.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced news environment.
  • Journalistic Integrity: Unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity and ethical standards.

  • Competitive Salary: The estimated base salary range for this role is between $48,000 and $60,000.
