Job Description

Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time contract position in a Rodeo, CA school. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with special education students and their families, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.

Requirements:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
  • Previous experience working with special education students and their families is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations governing school-based physical therapy services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality care and support to students.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and staff regarding students' physical therapy needs.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided and student progress.
  • Participate actively in meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of practice.
