About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Anesthesiology Specialist at Parkland Health and Hospital System. The primary purpose of this role is to administer anesthesia and provide care to patients during diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and carry out anesthetic patient care plans in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists.
  • Administer anesthesia and provide care from pre-anesthetic patient assessment to post-anesthetic patient follow-up.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education/Experience:

  • A graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Program accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia (COA).

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

  • A current, valid RN license or valid Compact RN license.
  • A current license or temporary authorization as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Skills or Special Abilities:

  • The ability to apply good decision making in anesthetic patient care and demonstrate ethical norms of practice.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in working with a diverse population of physicians, patients, and medical staff.
