Highly Skilled Platform Architect

We are seeking a skilled professional to shape the future of software development by providing automated services that enable engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities.
The core responsibility of this role revolves around empowering development teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes, enhances collaboration, and accelerates release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation. The ideal candidate will be part of a team responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to design and implement development and mission solutions in collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams. You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises cloud computing environments.
- Leverage automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible to improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement development and mission solutions.
- Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.
- Provide operational support for the platform.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer who possesses:
- Administrative fluency with Red Hat Linux (v7+, 8+ preferred) and Rancher.
- Experience troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux-based OS.
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.
- Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Rancher.
- S. government issued TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
We also welcome candidates with:
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Exposure to Cloud based web services such as AWS).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with Networking Concepts and architectures.
- Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, C++).
- Current DoD 8570 certification (CompTIA Security +, CCNA) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
