Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work with a great school district in Gilbert, AZ and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students. This position will work with an elementary caseload.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting.
- Deliver direct therapy services focused on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.
- Develop and lead training sessions for educators and parents on strategies to support students with various needs.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend related meetings.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Arizona.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
- Experience working with children in school or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child development, special education, and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
