Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Traveling Medical Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and X-ray units.
- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, including CT scans, MRI scans, and X-ray images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams, including images, reports, and patient information.
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Imaging Specialist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as operate medical imaging equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and other medical imaging software.
- Knowledge of Philips, Toshiba, and other medical imaging equipment.
- Experience with CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and vascular CTA procedures.
- Knowledge of Epic and other electronic health record systems.
