Job Summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload products to customers.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.
  • Ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and/or secured.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
