Job Description: The Department of Geography at The University of Alabama seeks to hire a renewable contract assistant professor (RCAP) with expertise in teaching physical and human geography courses at the undergraduate level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching duties will include lower-division undergraduate courses in physical geography and hazards for both majors and non-majors as well as upper-division undergraduate courses in water resources including water policy and law, depending on departmental need.
  • Maintain a research program that complements the department's strengths.
  • Contribute to the department's service mission through committee work and other activities.
