Job Title: Local Class A CDL Driver

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a delivery driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food products to customers.

Schedule:

  • Off on Sundays and one weekday
  • Start times between 1am and 6am (10-11 hour routes)

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely transport food products to customers while adhering to delivery schedules
  2. Carefully unload products from the trailer using equipment such as two-wheelers, pallet jacks, or by hand
  3. Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  4. Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  5. Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
