Job Summary

Premise Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Patient Needs: Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Conduct Nursing Assessments: Take patient histories, perform physical assessments, and obtain vital signs and medical tests.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to arrange for further medical treatment when needed.
  • Identify Equipment Needs: Recognize equipment that requires repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician.
  • Perform Occupational and Health Screening Tests: Conduct tests such as EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision tests as defined in site contracts.
  • Document Patient Care: Accurately document all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow-up care arranged.
  • Educate Patients: Evaluate health education/promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction.
  • Administer Medications: Competently administer medications and medical treatments as directed by physicians or licensed independent practitioners.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Use electronic medical record software to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Ensure a Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control procedures and ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Certification and Education: Certificate from an accredited nursing school or associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed registered nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Training and Certification: Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; advanced cardiac life support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • Preferred Experience: At least three years of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records: Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety: Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
