Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will spearhead and support continuous improvement initiatives through effective decision-making, employee engagement, and training. This role is crucial in achieving safety, cost, and productivity objectives while providing leadership and technical expertise for utility and facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programs and procedures that promote a safe and environmentally responsible work culture, ensuring quality outcomes at acceptable cost levels.

• Engage in safety, health, and environmental improvement initiatives.

• Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement through open communication and accountability.

• Prepare and manage budgets while monitoring expenses.

• Plan and oversee annual plant maintenance activities.

• Provide technical support for maintenance operations.

• Manage the Reliability Program to enhance operational efficiency.

• Offer advisory support to engineering teams while maintaining compliance with engineering standards.

• Drive cultural changes necessary for organizational success.

• Resolve personnel conflicts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Develop systems to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility metrics in alignment with reliability goals.

• Support sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing waste and energy consumption.

• Oversee daily operations of utility systems.

• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.

• Manage inventory and procurement for maintenance and operational needs.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field with at least 6 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related areas; or an Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience; or 8 years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

• Formal training in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.

• OSHA certification or training is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in supervising teams.

• Project management experience with budgets exceeding $50,000.

• Knowledge of corporate maintenance requirements and advanced troubleshooting skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across various departments.

• Familiarity with current safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Flexibility to work across multiple shifts as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.

• Occasionally required to lift and move items up to 55 pounds.

• Exposure to varying noise levels and potential hazards in the work environment.
