About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at National Salvage & Service Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and service vehicles in our office in Bloomington, Indiana.

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, flexible time off, 401(K) plan with company match, comprehensive wellness program, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to all safety policies
  • Conduct vehicle/equipment inspections and diagnostic tests; identify and resolve worn, broken, or damaged parts.
  • Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system problems and consider possible solutions.
  • Maintain vehicles/equipment using preventive maintenance procedures that meets or exceeds industry standards.

Requirements

  • You will need to be able to meet deadlines and be self-motivated
  • Deep working knowledge of Hydraulics and Diesel vehicles.
  • Need experience using mig and stick welding processes
  • Must provide own hand tools
