We are seeking a skilled Laborer I with a Commercial Driver's License to join our Public Works team. As a Laborer I, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled manual labor tasks, including driving maintenance vehicles, repairing and constructing streets, buildings, and other structures, and performing demolition, landscaping, and loading/unloading materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive maintenance vehicles and perform tasks involving driving
- Repair and construct streets, buildings, and other structures
- Perform demolition, landscaping, loading, and unloading materials
- Weld and perform other duties of similar nature as assigned
- High School or GED equivalent
- Commercial Driver's License (A or B)
- Welding experience
- Ability to understand oral instructions
- Ability to lift heavy articles
- Knowledge of construction equipment and tools
- Ability to withstand varying climate conditions
- Be in good physical condition
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 25 or more pounds
- Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job taking distance and speed into account
