Laborer I w/CDL Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer I with a Commercial Driver's License to join our Public Works team. As a Laborer I, you will be responsible for performing semi-skilled manual labor tasks, including driving maintenance vehicles, repairing and constructing streets, buildings, and other structures, and performing demolition, landscaping, and loading/unloading materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive maintenance vehicles and perform tasks involving driving
  • Repair and construct streets, buildings, and other structures
  • Perform demolition, landscaping, loading, and unloading materials
  • Weld and perform other duties of similar nature as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Commercial Driver's License (A or B)
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to understand oral instructions
  • Ability to lift heavy articles
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and tools
  • Ability to withstand varying climate conditions
  • Be in good physical condition
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 25 or more pounds
  • Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job taking distance and speed into account
