Position: Server at Midwood Smokehouse

Department: Hourly Location: Columbia, SC

Overview

We are on the lookout for individuals who share our passion for exceptional Texas-style barbecue. Our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards, which is why we craft our barbecue sauce from scratch and follow a meticulous smoking schedule.

Your role as a Server will be pivotal in delivering an unforgettable All-American barbecue experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for.
  • Foster relationships with regular patrons by remembering their names and preferences.
  • Provide thoughtful recommendations based on guests' tastes.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant atmosphere.
  • Engage with guests frequently to anticipate their needs.
  • Deliver exceptional service by promptly refilling drinks, clearing tables, and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Be prepared to assist in various roles to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong service orientation and have at least two years of experience in a fast-paced dining environment.

Excellent communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and the flexibility to work during weekends and holidays.
