Special Education Teacher for Young Children with Autism

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in a self-contained PreK/Early Childhood Autism classroom.
About the RoleThis position offers a unique opportunity to work with young children with autism and make a positive impact in their lives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), creating a nurturing and supportive classroom environment, and collaborating with staff from a partner classroom.
Responsibilities- Teaching and Case Management: Develop and implement IEPs for students, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Classroom Environment: Create a tailored learning environment that meets the needs of young children with autism, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with staff from the partner classroom to enhance learning opportunities, share best practices, and ensure seamless communication among team members.
- Parental Involvement: Regularly communicate with parents and caregivers about student progress and goals, fostering strong relationships and ensuring a collaborative approach to education.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification: Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience working with young children with autism; experience with IEP development and implementation highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This full-time position requires approximately 8 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday. A competitive salary is offered, based on experience and qualifications. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from qualified candidates.
