We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and other systems on vehicles
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various types of truck equipment
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Document work performed and upload pictures of work completed using company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring
Preferred Certifications:
  • ASE T8 (PMI) certification
  • ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification
  • ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
  • ASE T5 (Suspension) certification
  • ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification
