SUMMARY

Hibbett Sports is seeking committed individuals to serve as drivers responsible for the transportation of goods between various Hibbett locations. The role involves ensuring that all items are delivered intact and that all merchandise is accounted for. Additionally, drivers are tasked with the maintenance and care of the vehicles utilized for deliveries, and must uphold a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow the established delivery schedule
  • Maintain accurate shipment logs at each stop
  • Safely load, secure, and transport products in the delivery vehicle
  • Record all vehicle movements on daily route documentation
  • Unload merchandise securely and safely
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
  • Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times
  • Comply with state and federal break regulations
  • Safeguard the company's assets and financial data by ensuring adherence to internal control measures and reporting any potential fraud risks to management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • A minimum of three years of driving experience
  • Strong customer service skills for effective interaction with store staff and customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all organizational levels
  • Attention to detail, effective time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Familiarity with relevant technology, including GPS and time tracking systems
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Must be insurable through Hibbett Sports' insurance provider and maintain insurability.
