Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to join our production team at Pexco. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our extrusion equipment, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance with company and plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all annual training as required.
  • Operate and maintain extrusion equipment, including breakdown, cleaning, setup, and start-up.
  • Perform tooling changes and restart extruders in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Identify and manage shop orders, related documents, and key dimension sheets.
  • Understand and operate downstream equipment.
  • Identify materials and screw/head types.
  • Develop speed and accuracy in machine tear-down and setup.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the extrusion process and materials, highly preferred.
  • Above-average communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow directions and processes.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

This is a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to dust, odors, fumes, and noise associated with the extrusion and fabrication processes.
