Job Summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support our Central Supply 340B Program. As a key member of our team, you will perform routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
  • Wholesaler and direct manufacturer ordering, receipt of order, and purchasing pharmaceuticals
  • Monthly billing and invoice resolution, utilizing computers and Excel to compile purchase history
  • Medication recall management, distribution of medications to clinics and other trading partners, and email correspondence with supported clinics
  • Purchasing pharmaceuticals in quantities sufficient to meet patient needs and reordering based on Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and 340B Drug Pricing Program (340B Program) criteria
  • Purchasing and controlling inventory for the Inpatient Pharmacy and clinical practices, responsible for quarterly inventory at Central Supply Pharmacy
  • Coordinating annual inventory and assisting with the management of drug shortages
  • Maintaining and auditing 340B eligible transactions and 340B eligible product accumulations for accuracy of data
  • Keeping records of audit activity and database changes of 340B products for compliance and audits
  • Processing pharmacy invoices and managing interdepartmental billing
  • Monitoring and maintaining processes and documentation for controlled substance compliance, including ARCOS requirements
  • Preparing prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices
  • Stocking and replenishing stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots
  • Utilizing automation to unit dose medications
  • Serving as a preceptor and assisting with orienting and training of pharmacy department staff
  • Communicating supply issues, problems, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations
  • Able to function independently within their scope of responsibility

Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
