Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional donor care and satisfaction through effective communication and responsiveness to donor needs.
- Evaluate donor suitability for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Explain informed consents and procedures to donors, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Perform physical examinations and review donor data to confirm suitability.
- Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures, ensuring donor safety and monitoring for reactions.
- Administer immunizations and monitor responses, providing appropriate counseling as needed.
- Maintain the center's emergency medical kit and equipment, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
- Review test results and consult with the center physician on any unusual or abnormal findings.
- Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as nursing or physician assistant.
- Current licensure in the state where the center operates.
- Excellent patient assessment skills, ability to manage emergency situations, and effective communication skills.
- Previous work experience demonstrating adaptability, attention to detail, and leadership skills.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, tug, lift, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens, physical ability to perform CPR, and sufficient mobility to assist in adverse donor reactions.
