Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU Burn Unit team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to our patients, working collaboratively with medical providers to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications, monitoring patient response and notifying providers as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations before procedures, including review of patient history and diagnostic tests, as well as physical and psychological assessments.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, ensuring patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
