Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Residence Director to join our team at Exploration School. This is a 4.5-week, residential, seasonal position that requires a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful campus community.

About the Role

As a Residence Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dorm and student life, including student conduct, discipline, health, and safety. You will supervise and support Student Advisors, communicate with caregivers, and ensure that students have a positive experience while at the program.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supervising and advising a group of Student Advisors
  • Supporting students as they navigate social and emotional challenges
  • Communicating with caregivers to share student experiences and progress
  • Responding to student behaviors and actions that are not aligned with community expectations
  • Assisting with the coordination and planning of student life initiatives and campus policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 3 years of college/university experience or the equivalent
  • The ability to live and work on campus for the duration of the program
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain authorization
