We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Floyd's Truck Center Inc. as a Heavy Truck Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles, adhering to OEM and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair various truck systems using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accurate and complete work.
- Communicate effectively with service writers and supervisors to ensure timely completion of repairs and provide updates to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
- Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper functioning.
- Inspect and test defective equipment to identify malfunctions and implement repairs.
- Participate in OEM training and maintain a valid CDL license for the state of this location.
- CDL license preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet company production and quality standards
- Physical ability to move throughout the facility, stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift over 50lbs
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.
