We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Albuquerque Public Schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and families in our community.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech-language services to students with communication disorders, collaborating with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective interventions, and contributing to a culture of inclusion and accessibility within our schools.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose students' communication needs, developing individualized treatment plans to address speech-language deficits.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve students' communication skills, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals as needed.
- Provide training and support to educators on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders, promoting inclusive practices in the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services, ensuring seamless transitions between academic, therapeutic, and social-emotional support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, reporting regularly to parents, guardians, and district administrators.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, hold a valid New Mexico Speech Pathology license, and demonstrate experience working with diverse populations, particularly those with communication disorders.
Estimated Salary$73,000 - $83,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
