Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met, both internal and external.
  • Implement and maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as tax schedules, returns, and information.
  • Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, and implement and monitor financial policies and procedures.
  • Review and analyze financial data for strategic decision-making purposes, and train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to develop their skills and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with an MBA or CPA certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in banking and financial software systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
