About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our AWS Data Center Commissioning Team. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review design documents and lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT) to ensure compliance with engineering designs and customer requirements.
  • Manage third-party commissioning vendors to perform onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing.
  • Take ownership of projects' successes by diving deep to resolve technical issues and having a bias for action to address ever-changing schedule and coordination demands onsite.
  • Communicate lessons learned and continuously collaborate on program improvements.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 3 years of relevant discipline work experience.
  • 1+ years of field-level project support/execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high-stress environments to maintain calm and respectful interaction with multiple teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents, including design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.
  • Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals.
