About the Role
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Search team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of search technology that powers Amazon's shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and efficient search algorithms and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate search capabilities into various Amazon services
- Work closely with applied scientists and engineers to build systems that shape the future of Amazon's shopping experience
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, following Amazon's coding standards and best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
