About the Role

We are in search of a dedicated infrastructure engineer to enhance the efficiency of our database systems. Your responsibilities will include improving our data storage capabilities, developing new support scripts, and diagnosing database issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and optimizing the performance of existing private cloud infrastructure, including databases.
  • Collaborating with development teams to design systems that ensure high availability.
  • Monitoring database systems to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Analyzing database and user reports, along with system data.
  • Executing debugging processes on database scripts and resolving conflicts.
  • Following best practices for secure data storage, backup, and archiving.
  • Documenting procedures related to database design, configuration, and performance metrics.
  • Staying updated on advancements and best practices in database engineering.
Technical Skills Required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Bash/Dash scripting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of setup and configuration: nginx, mysql/mariadb, elastic search, docker, kubernetes, kafka/message service, mongodb/cassandra, linux.
  • Programming experience in Java or C++.
  • Strong understanding of database engineering best practices and data security protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing enterprise applications on public/private cloud platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
