Physical Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Baltimore City Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized physical therapy programs for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs for students with disabilities
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and other service providers
- Supervise physical therapy students, assistants, and aides
- Meet with parents to discuss physical therapy programs and provide guidance on home-based activities
- Observe and record students' progress, noting changes and reporting relevant information
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethics, and safety procedures
- Submit Medicaid reimbursement documentation and maintain caseload documentation
- Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with other service providers
- Train school-based staff on the use of physical therapy equipment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a course in physical therapy accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
- Current Maryland license as a physical therapist
- Working knowledge of physical therapy principles and human behavior norms and deficits
- Working knowledge of the application of physical therapy principles and practices for children with disabilities
- Knowledge of laws and by-laws covering the education of students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and human relations skills
