Lead Special Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Special Educator to join our team at The New England Center for Children Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supervisory role, providing clinical and educational oversight for a Partner Program classroom for students with autism and related disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a Partner Program Classroom with up to 7 learners and para-educators.
  • Manage special education case loads for learners in the classroom.
  • Provide leadership, training, and coaching for para-educators in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to provide quality inclusion opportunities for learners in the classroom.
  • Work cooperatively with school personnel, including principals, general education, and special education staff.
  • Work closely with families to offer continuous support.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • State license in special education, depending on the location of the role (or out of state license eligible for reciprocity).
  • Experience and proficiency in the application of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills, and proven leadership ability with prior supervisory experience.
  • Driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
