About the Role

As an Arborist Climber Trainee with Bartlett Tree Experts, you will be an integral member of a tree care crew, gaining practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties.

Compensation Package

Job Responsibilities
As an Arborist Climber Trainee, you will play a crucial role in:
- Learning through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including:
1. Tree climbing
2. Pruning
3. Rigging
4. Cabling and bracing
5. Removal of hazardous trees
6. Tree identification
7. Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
8. Implementing work zone safety procedures
9. Assisting Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders working on the ground and aloft
10. Assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
1. A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
2. Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
3. Valid driver's license
4. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
5. Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required
