MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Operate MRI scanners, administer contrast agents, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Transfer images to PACS, verify and segment images, and complete orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and precepting new employees and students.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, or registry eligibility.
- Advanced certification in MR within one year of employment.
- Current competency in HCP BLS.
This is a full-time position with a standard 36 hours per week schedule. The salary range is $40.09 per hour, and the work assignment type is onsite. The work schedule includes day shifts, open to 12-hour shifts, and on-call 8am-12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
