About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Coordinator Specialist to join our team at Optical Cable Corporation. As a key member of our production department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily priorities between production, sales, and inventory control to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
• Maintain corporate lead time objectives by collaborating with cross-functional teams and analyzing production schedules.
• Analyze and identify component, sub-assembly, and finished good stock levels to inform inventory management decisions.
• Generate work orders for the production floor, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Review BOMs and drawings for accuracy prior to releasing them to production, minimizing errors and rework.
• Promote OCC's service excellence and quality by providing excellent customer service, building strong relationships, and focusing on positive solutions.
• Champion OCC's vision and values, adhering to policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or six years of experience in manufacturing and materials control environments.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an ERP system.
• The ability to plan, layout, and execute complex work programs, functions, and operations to ensure quality.
• Sufficient math and handwriting skills, as well as the ability to complete all documentation accurately.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly and concisely.
• The ability to manage and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and management.
• Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and open communication.

Working Conditions:

This is a mostly sedentary job that requires sufficient vision for completing quality work and extensive computer use. The position may require extended hours from time to time, including evenings and weekends, to meet company goals and objectives.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
