Opportunity Overview: We are seeking additional board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to strengthen our Emergency Department services. Our team comprises board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, offering a collaborative environment with varying shift lengths of 8, 9, or 10 hours, primarily during the day with some night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' medical, physical, and psychological conditions, including comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
- Document clinical notes in the medical record accurately.
- Implement physician-directed treatment strategies, including writing orders for medications, treatments, and tests, while providing direct patient care.
- Dispense medications as authorized by state law or under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Educate and train clinical staff within the facility.
Education Requirements:
- For Physician Assistants: Bachelor's Degree and successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited program, along with passing a national certifying examination by NCCPA.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- For Physician Assistants: Must possess and maintain current South Carolina PA licensure.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Current unrestricted South Carolina Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with Prescriptive Authority.
