Hardware Design Engineer with RF and DSP Expertise

Job Summary
HEICO Corporation is seeking an experienced RF and DSP Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team (EDT). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our newest product line, bringing AI to RF applications at the edge, serving the scientific, UAV, industrial, and defense communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop RF and DSP systems with a focus on Software Defined Radios (SDR)
• Initiate and configure digital signals, develop signal processing systems and algorithms
• Collaborate on FPGA-based SDR design and development
• Utilize schematic capture, layout, component library development, and bill of material creation, preferably with Altium Designer
• Experience in laying out mixed signal PCBs or directing PCB layout
• Troubleshoot and debug electronics and system-level issues, with expertise in solving issues such as data throughput, grounding, and thermal management
• Familiarity with EW, SIGINT, or satellite COMMs applications is a plus
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RF and DSP design with an emphasis on SDR
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing and system design
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
