Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for performing critical tax functions, monitoring client support software, and preparing Federal and State amended tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tax functions under the supervision of the Tax Manager
  • Monitor client support software and respond to inquiries within 48 hours
  • Setup new clients in tax software and import payroll history
  • Prepare Federal and State amended tax returns and assist with multi-state payroll tax filings and reconciliations
  • Makes daily tax payments to various tax agencies
Requirements
  • Must have, or be working towards, an accounting, business, or finance degree
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills providing analytical support in payroll tax
  • Highly effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts
  • Payroll tax experience
