About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist PRN to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI exams on a variety of body parts, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Conduct pre-exam screenings, greet patients, and assist with gowns, history forms, and technologist exam sheets.
  • Stock rooms with necessary supplies and check labs when required.
  • Transport patients to and from ER and other imaging areas when necessary, and move patients on and off the exam table.
  • Organize and prioritize patient exams for optimal workflow and communicate effectively with customers, including physicians, coworkers, patients, and their families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiography program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Tech and 2 years of MRI experience preferred.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
