Position Summary
The Field Service Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for comprehensive maintenance, preventative care, and repair of a diverse range of machinery. This role is essential in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts utilized.
- Interpret equipment specifications and repair manuals to implement effective maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on various vehicles and heavy machinery, including trucks, loaders, and excavators.
- Execute complex repair tasks, from fluid level checks to complete disassembly and rebuilding of engines and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify issues within electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Perform operational tests on vehicles and machinery, providing feedback on performance.
- Utilize diagnostic tools for hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Employ hand tools and power equipment for disassembly, repair, and replacement of defective components.
- Modify equipment for enhanced safety and emergency readiness.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
- Undertake additional labor-intensive and semi-skilled tasks as required.

Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of motor vehicle and heavy equipment operation, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficient in operating machinery for diagnostic assessments.
- Strong manual dexterity and precise hand-eye coordination.
- Effective troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Minimum of three years of experience in heavy equipment and light vehicle mechanics.
- Relevant mechanic certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with automotive electronics is a plus.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory; a CDL is preferred.
