Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and meticulous Senior Financial Accountant to contribute to our dynamic finance team.

This role involves managing comprehensive accounting responsibilities, scrutinizing and interpreting financial data, and supporting various reporting functions.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, expertise in account reconciliations, and a solid understanding of financial statements, general ledgers, and financial reporting, all while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and adherence to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and evaluate monthly and periodic financial reports using MS Dynamics Great Plains.
- Ensure the precision of financial records across multiple entities by reviewing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliation activities.
- Update financial reporting and budgeting programs with quarterly results.
- Collaborate with U.S. and Canadian tax professionals and authorities.
- Manage monthly and quarterly inter-company account reconciliations by gathering, entering, and balancing data.
- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure the timely and accurate generation of financial statements.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, making necessary correcting entries.
- Provide analytical support and detailed insights to management as required.
- Oversee the show-closings process and reconcile results with sales teams.
- Handle revenue recognition, deferred expenses, and deferred revenue calculations and entries.
- Post monthly exchange rates and conversions, calculating foreign exchange gains or losses.
- Assist in the budgeting and long-term planning processes.
- Supply necessary details for the annual audit as needed.
- Maintain and reconcile accrual and prepaid accounts.
- Process credit notes and sales voids for multiple entities as required.
- Engage in additional projects as directed by the CFO.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A college degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive approach with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative team player who can thrive in a supportive role.
- The capability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
Physical and Work Environment:
The physical demands of this position include the ability to sit, stand, walk, and navigate stairs, as well as the capability to lift up to 25 lbs. The work environment is primarily an office setting.
