Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Burns Management. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our apartment community, including grounds, amenities, and building exteriors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a team of service technicians to ensure timely and quality work completion.
  • Coordinate outsourced contractor services and provide necessary tools and support to complete work orders.
  • Service resident community by cooperating with residents, completing work orders in a timely manner, and assisting in the supervision of cleaning staff.
  • Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Foreman to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns or issues.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance functions and assist in the supervision of contract services.
  • Work with the Foreman to provide a daily recap of work completed and assist in the turnover process to ensure unit preparation is completed efficiently.
  • Support the required on-call rotation and overtime as needed.
  • Assist in the supervision of a clean and organized shop, purchasing and inventory control, tool maintenance, and implementation of safety and security procedures.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience in a relevant field, preferably in HVAC or other technical certifications.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders easily.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a positive attitude and ability to smile under all circumstances.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in training to comply with new or existing laws.
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance throughout the workday.
  • Compliance with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean, valid Driver's license.
