Position Overview- Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- Discipline: RN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years required.
- Traveler Experience: First-time travelers are not accepted.
- Local Candidates: Accepted with rate differences.
- Essential Skills: Proficiency in Telemetry and Vents.
- Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Float Pool setting.
Job Details:
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-6, flexible based on patient populations.
- Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours accepted; no overtime billed until after 48 hours.
- Float Requirements: Will work with the Centralized Resource Nursing Pool across multiple campuses.
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend required.
Additional Information:
- Contract staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during catastrophic events.
- Potential for consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract.
Patient Care Focus: Caring for a diverse range of patients across medical surgical, cardiac, progressive care, and stroke units.
Unit Systems: Familiarity with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR is essential.
Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation provided.
Scrubs: Navy scrubs required.
Interview Process: Candidates must provide availability for interviews within the next 72 hours.
