Position Overview

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is seeking dedicated UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS in Suffolk County, NY.

Available Locations & Shifts:

  • Brookhaven: Weekend shifts and Monday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.
  • Brookhaven: Saturday to Tuesday and Thursday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.
  • Patchogue (mobile): Friday to Saturday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.
  • Patchogue (mobile): Saturday to Sunday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.
  • Shoreham: Thursday to Friday and Sunday - Compensation: $17.50/hr.
  • Deer Park: Friday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.
  • Deer Park: Thursday to Saturday and Monday - Compensation: $18.00/hr.

Responsibilities of the Unarmed Security Officer:

  • Ensure safety and security of premises and personnel through regular patrols; monitor surveillance systems; inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; control entry.
  • Document and report any irregularities; communicate policies and procedures to violators.
  • Maintain detailed reports by documenting observations, incidents, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; collect necessary signatures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications for Security Officer / Unarmed Guard:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of work history in the U.S. may be necessary.
  • Possession of a valid NYS Security Guard License.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical capability to fulfill the duties required by the position.
