Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Savannah Christian Preparatory School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school's grounds and buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the school's grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and pruning trees.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties, such as repairing structures, applying plaster, and fixing fountains.
  • Apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed to maintain a healthy and pest-free environment.
  • Shovel snow and apply ice melt to prevent slips and falls.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping.
  • Install and maintain lawn furniture, lighting, and other outdoor features.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The position requires frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
