New School Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled School Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team near Kelso, WA.
Job Summary
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing students' academic and social success through effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate students and their families on speech-language disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical work.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Previous clinical experience preferred, particularly in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with speech and language challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
