Starting pay for 1st Shift Fabricators: $23.07 per hour (Weekly Pay)

1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5AM-4:20PM & Friday 5AM-12PM (when overtime is required)

Department: Main Shop

Compensation: Double Time After 50 hours worked in a week

As a Fabrication Specialist, you will leverage your skills in metalworking to create high-quality products that adhere to our stringent standards. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics will be crucial in ensuring that each item is crafted to precise specifications. Your familiarity with machinery and tools will be vital for operating and maintaining our equipment. Furthermore, your problem-solving abilities and collaborative spirit will help us achieve our production objectives efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute fillet and groove welds using SMAW, SAW, and FCAW techniques
  • Drill, install high-strength bolts, and grind steel components
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fabrication; preferred
  • 1+ years of welding experience; a plus
  • Commitment to workplace safety and active participation in our safety culture
  • Attention to quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability in work performed
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team success

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Must be capable of pushing/moving objects with up to 100 lbs of force
  • Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, and work at heights
  • Good range of motion for reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted indoors in a large warehouse or outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other potential hazards
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are mandatory; respirators are required for specific tasks
