Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Assist the surgical team with setting up and operating equipment, as well as maintaining a clean and organized operating room.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants, ensuring timely and efficient completion of procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist Surgery Certified (TSC) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is also required.
  • Act 34 clearance is necessary for this role.
