About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Lutheran SeniorLife. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and monitoring all meals served at the LIFE Center to ensure compliance with therapeutic diet and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for residents in accordance with therapeutic diets and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and implement menus
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation and inventory
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One year experience working with the frail and elderly
  • Knowledge of portion control and therapeutic diets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
