About the Facility

The Oklahoma City area Indian Health Service serves the state of Oklahoma, Kansas, and portions of Texas. With a strong focus on partnership and cooperation with the Tribes in the area, our facilities provide comprehensive health care services to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive antepartum and postpartum nursing care for women and newborns in an Obstetrical Unit.
  • Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when physicians are not immediately available.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Teach patients and families in preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision.
  • Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license within the Continental United States.
  • Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certification.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years full-time Obstetrics specific experience.
