Job Summary

Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Cheyenne, WY area. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.

The ideal candidate will have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks and be able to follow oral and written instructions. They will also be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

Identify, diagnose, repair, and resolve issues related to electrical, plumbing, A/C and heating systems, appliances, stairs, railings, gas fixtures, carpet, tiles, flooring, etc.

Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, or installations, including faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines.

Conduct electrical repairs, replacements, or installations, including power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage doors openers.

Perform drywall repairs, including filling in small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear.

Paint minor touch-ups following damage repair and apply new coats of paint to unit walls.

Repair, replace, or install major household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers, and dryers.

Maintain grounds, including mowing grass, pulling weeds, trimming and pruning trees and shrubs, watering lawns and plants, replacing light bulbs, and tidying up bark or other ground covering.

Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including maintaining a tidy appearance in shared community locations and cleaning fixtures, floors, and other surfaces in vacated units.

Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Must have a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.

Must have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks.
