The Chief Information Security Officer will oversee and direct all facets of our information security initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, and collaborating closely with the Senior Vice President of Engineering, the CISO will be instrumental in shaping and executing our strategic vision for safeguarding corporate information, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and execute a robust information security strategy and roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and compliance mandates.
Establish, enhance, and uphold policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to guarantee effective information security governance throughout the organization.
Lead a dedicated team of cybersecurity experts, offering mentorship, guidance, and professional growth opportunities to cultivate a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Supervise the design, deployment, and upkeep of security measures, technologies, and processes to defend against threats, vulnerabilities, and cyber intrusions.
Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including Engineering, Compliance, IT, Legal, and business units, to embed security within the overall enterprise architecture and operational workflows.
Conduct routine risk evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address security vulnerabilities and compliance deficiencies.Monitor and scrutinize security incidents and events, leading response and investigation efforts to mitigate impacts and prevent future occurrences.
Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices, assessing new technologies and solutions to bolster our security framework.
Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders regarding information security issues, including executive leadership, board members, clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Prepare and deliver regular updates and reports on the status of information security projects, key performance indicators, and metrics to senior management and relevant committees.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
Possession of industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is required; additional certifications like CCISO or CEH are advantageous.
A proven history of at least 10 years in progressively responsible roles within information security in the cloud computing sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
A comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy principles, technologies, and frameworks, including ISO 27000 series, AICPA Trust Services Criteria / SOC 2, and GDPR.
Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards concerning information security, privacy, and data protection.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated capability to think strategically, address complex challenges, and make data-informed decisions in a dynamic environment.Experience in budget development and management, vendor relations, and third-party service provider oversight related to information security.
Proven ability to foster and maintain a positive security culture, promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Experience in assessing and achieving FedRAMP authorization is preferred.
